My earrings been featured in Crafty Dreams Blog
It's nice to get a message from saying that one of your items have been featured in their blog! Doesn't just make your day? But how many times do YOU actually feature someone else work on your blogs? Not enough I imagine. Well done blog mentions-as this one by Eaindar on her Crafty Dream Blog can really help cross promote not only your items but items from other sellers. So think about this idea for your blog too!
I really like following her blog-It's one of my "must reads." I like to see what she finds. What "finds" do you want to share?

My 100th follower!
I decided that I would give away a pair of earrings from my Etsy shop to my 100th follower. Turns out it is TheGreenHaven!
She picked this sparkly sapphire blue pair of earrings from my shop.
I wanted to find out a bit more about her-so I went exploring in her shop! Her is some of what I found.
I love the Eco-friendly items she has in her shop. My daughters boyfriend is a John Deere fan...
This John Deere Sandwich Reusable Sandwich bag might have to be a purchase....never know when you need a "love"gift!
From her shop description:
"Ever get tired of all those plastic baggies? Here is your solution. Reusable Sandwich and snack bags. Americans alone throw away 83 billion baggies a year! Not counting all those brown paper bags that the baggies go in! This bag is a Green Plaid John Deere print, great for boys... or girls! The interior is a white vinyl. Making this bag very easy to clean, just take a wet rag and wipe it out. Can be machined washed with like colors and hung out to dry. Closes with velcro.
Great idea! She has a variety of these in her shop-can you imagine your kids taking their lunch to school in one of these! I hope you take a look at her shop. It's hard to imagine that she's only 18 and a freshman in college! Kudo's to her for being so motivated!
Thanks for being my 100th follower! I hope you'll come back and let us know what new things you're working on.

How about a little spring?
I don't know about you, but I'm getting a little tired of winter this year! I look out onto my deck and all I think of is...in a month from now I'll be out on the river fly-fishing! I just shiver when I think that! It's going to be so cold!
I just want a few days of sunshine and temperatures above freezing...and please...NO MORE SNOW! I'm not sure why this year is so different, there's always a lot of snow in Michigan. I feel sorry for everyone in the Northeast section of the US-they've really got hammered! Friends and family in Pennsylvania and New York have had a lot more than us.
I decided I try to make something that would put me into a springtime mood. So I dug out some beads and these are what I came up with. I hope you like them!

Breaking up is hard to do...
It's hard to say goodbye. You know it wasn't right from the beginning of the relationship. Yet you stuck with it for over a year. You know how it feels. First it's exciting, you think there's nothing better for you. Then one day it happens, you look around and there's something that catches your eye, but still you hang on, hoping it's all going to work out.
You get restless, now you find your eyes wandering more. Life's not the same, you're just not satisfied like you were before. You start thinking to yourself-is there something better for me out there...and then one day you find you just can't stand one more day. It's no ones fault. It's just time to move on. Say goodbye. It was good while it lasted...
Say hello to my new banner!
What, not what you were thing-LOL!
I'll keep my old one here for a little while, after all I've kind of gotten used to its dirty laundry and bad habits. But, don't say I didn't warn you!

When disasters strike, our true convictions and compassion for others show.
s in Haiti through donations to DoctorsWithoutBorders (MedicinesSansFrontirs ).
If you can, donate something. There are links to how to donate at the shop or in the forums.
Or, go check out the shop. There are many wonderful items for sale there.
I have posted this Tigers Eye Pendant Necklace.
How can you heart not be torn by the images you have been seeing about the devastation in Haiti? What can you do as an individual? Make a donation to one of your favorite charities-perhaps. For those of you who have shops on Etsy there is another option, perhaps you can donate an item to HeartsforHaiti.
HeartsforHaiti's Shop Announcement
This is an Etsy collective of donated items from hundreds of Etsy shops to raise money to rebuild Haiti. 100% of the proceeds from this shop (minus Etsy fees and Paypal fees) go directly to DoctorsWithoutBorders (http://doctorswithoutborders.org ) in bi-monthly increments. This shop has permission to use the DoctorsWithoutBorders name and a separate bank account and Paypal account have been opened to maintain the integrity of this shop. Items have been donated from many individual shops; each shop has included their particulars ( country, shipping time) in each listing. All items include seller-donated free shipping (most worldwide, see individual listing) because the need is SO great, we want you to buy and help support Etsians helping Haiti. The theme for the next few weeks is on heart items but we have more than just that. Please browse our sections to the right and know that your purchase in this shop not only gets you a great Etsy item but it also helps alleviate the needThursday, March 12, 2009
Friday Finds No.2
Here's my next "Friday Find." Babesh. Since she joined Etsy she has had 6 sales-I think she could definitely get more with her cute items!
Monika is a stay at home mom with 1 15 month old and 1 on the way so it's a busy life. This is what she has to share with us "I began making my creations because no one knew what they were in my town so therefore I didn't get any of them for my first baby shower, so upon being laid off from my job I needed something I enjoyed doing so I wouldn't go crazy so I decided to make my baby items and share them at fairly low prices."
This 3 Tier Pink Girl Receiving Blanket Diaper Cake is a favorite item-so cute!
You can find Babesh on flickr here:http://www.flickr.com/people/35728242@N02/
and on Twitter http://twitter.com/Babesh1
Be sure to give these shops some attention-their Etsy minis are posted to the left! Take a look at the cute items in their shops!
Friday Finds No.1
I'm so excited to be featuring these Etsy Artisans-the one thing in common with all of them is they have 10 or sales. Please take a look at their shops...I bet there will be something for you in there. Easter, Mother's Day-weddings, bridal and baby showers, birthdays and graduations, just because-I can think of hundreds of reasons to take a peek! Let's support our fellow artisans!
Hand Embroidery, Bridal bags & Vintage Finds
My very first "find!"veryprettythings has some very pretty things in her shop! Can you imagine a bride carrying this very special bridal bag! Right now this artisan has 10 sales-but we'd love to give her a boost! Her work is quite lovely! This is what Susan had to share with us: I am a Christian Homeschooling Mom. I enjoy reading, gardening, finding great deals on vintage items & sewing. I am a proud member of ETSYMOM & CAST street teams. Find one of her favorite items here. Wow-I'm featured in a treasury
I like to make treasuries-It's a great way to look at a lot of shops here on Etsy. If you haven't tried to make one-you should. Let you imagine go wild. Treasuries can be anything you want them to be-base theme on a color, word, theme, season, anything or nothing at all!
What's the purpose of treasuries? Well, they get you as a seller and buyer to get exposure to shops you might not have seen before. It's lets others see your creative expressions and maybe consider you in return.
Here's the treasury I'm in tonight.
It was put together by paisleykitten. She started off the the treasury with 1 item, and asked others to comment on her treasury-and to challenge them to see if they had anything that could coordinate with her initial item! What a neat idea!
I think it turned out great! How about you?
How did I get that that screen shot into my blog? It's pretty easy! First of all open up the page you want a screen shot of, right click-see the box that comes up?
It should say view page info on the bottom line. You need the info from there to find out the page address. You can copy that info to thumbalizr.
You then download your thumbalized image and paste into your blog. It sound complicated, but after a couple of tries even I mastered, well at least can use, it!

Michigan Trolls Team Treasury
AngiesdesignsShop got a treasury last night!
What's a treasury? For those of you who look at Etsy-it's a showcase of favorite items picked by an Etsy member-a curator. The main treasury list is opened when there are under 333 lists showing. It's almost a game-you have your treasury title picked out and you need to type it it fast-and voila! you have a treasury. Now you fill the spaces with links to 12 items (plus for alternates) in any shops on Etsy.
The Treasury is not intended for self-promotion, but instead to acknowledge and share the many cool things for sale on Etsy. Admin often choose an exceptional Treasury list to promote on the home page and occasionally make them to tie into Storque articles or special events and occasions.
I love to see the themes and items other sellers pick out-some are very creative. It gives you a bit of exposure-and it's a good way to get to take a look at lots of great shops.
If you haven't put together a Treasury yet-try it! But beware, treasury curating can become addicting...If you stay up to 4am just waiting for that list to open-don't say I didn't warn you!
